From Monday 6 January 2025, only professional referrals will be accepted for Autism and ADHD assessment. A professional could be your GP, school nurse, teacher, social worker, or other person that knows your child in a professional capacity.
The change is being applied accross all NHS organisations in Kent and Medway to improve consistency and standards.

If your concerns escalate about your child or young person, please call NHS 111 — Mental health help 'Option 2'.
If it is an emergency, immediate danger to life/safety dial 999 or visit Accident and Emergency (A&E).

If your referral is for ADHD or Autism Diagnostic Assessment please check the table on this link to ensure that your child is referred to the correct service, as some of these services are provided by other NHS trusts.
